Attendees will learn from industry innovators about effective collaboration solutions between creative and technical teams in garment design and production, and how to integrate digital technology software (such as 3D sample visualization and pattern digitizing) to accelerate time-to-market and maximize profitability.

 

This is also a unique chance to hear firsthand of the transformative impact of 3D-printing technology on ready-to-wear garments and accessories, from two Los Angeles-based designers with international recognition, whose designs will be on display.

Acclaimed architect Julia Körner, founder of JK Design GmbH, works at the convergence of architecture, product and fashion design, using 3D-printing technology in collaboration with renowned haute couture houses and to launch her 2015 entirely 3D-printed ready-to-wear collection.

 

Irina Palmer is a technical designer for Los Angeles-based clothing brand KENDALL + KYLIE, trained to deploy apparel technology solutions to interpret from the designers’ vision  to accurate fabrication by production teams.

 

Global Garment Engineering President Pat Trautman works with preeminent retail brands and apparel manufacturers globally as their go-to resource for production and technical support, often in partnership with apparel software leader Gerber Technology to integrate and implement their digital solutions.

 

Jenny Wu is a noted architect of Oyler Wu Collaborative, and the founder and design director of LACE by Jenny Wu, an award-winning 3D-printed jewelry brand, featuring 3D-printed stainless steel and precious metal statement pieces. 

 

Moderator Nancy L. McCullough is Principal of Law Offices of Nancy L. McCullough and Program Chair of Fashion Group, Int’l- Los Angeles.  Her boutique law practice is focused on IP, digital technology, fashion, and entertainment law, counseling tech innovators, fashion designers, and entrepreneurs on licensing, copyright, trademark, strategic planning and compliant trade practices.
